STANDOUT AGENCY was co-founded by us: Chris Wethington (left) and Cody Frain (right). Like you, we are artists that have been playing in bands, releasing music, and touring in the US and internationally since 2008.
STANDOUT AGENCY is a part of the larger THEORIA GROUP network of music companies. We are both founders and co-owners of the company and its divisions, which encompass record label THEORIA RECORDS, distro platform FPMG DISTRIBUTION, booking agency STANDOUT TOURING, and artist development agency STANDOUT ARTISTS.
We’ve both also experienced aspects of the industry working at companies such as Dynamic Talent, The CI Companies, 307 Artist Management, Mid-Atlantic Management, and more.
Most importantly: We are both artists ourselves. Cody plays drums in IF NOT FOR ME, while Chris plays guitar in SOFTSPOKEN. Both bands were developed by us, and have reached their respective levels because of the work we put into developing them.
From touring, to recording, to booking tours, negotiating record label deals, locking in endorsements, marketing releases, and more - we have over two decades of combined experience helping bands establish themselves and thrive through the changes and challenges in the industry.
Our passion for helping good music get discovered led us into the industry, into management, and starting our own label… but over the years we’ve come to realize that some artists need more flexibility.
So we decided to create a different way to help artists stand out: Standout Agency.
Standout Agency exists as a part of the greater Theoria Group network of music companies, and operates based on the same ideals of working with PASSION, INTEGRITY, CREATIVITY, and HUMILITY.
